POSITION: Microsoft 365 Engineer

SCHEDULE: Full time, Hybrid (mostly work from home with occasional onsite meetings)
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 P
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator – Microsoft 365 position reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is a key role in the Information Technology department. This position is responsible for the administration of the organization’s 450-user Microsoft 365 environment and other related services and applications. The M365 administrator will also participate with the CIO and other IT, business and clinical leaders and staff in planning and supporting a variety of Microsoft 365 migration, deployment and optimization projects.
Successful candidates for this role will have strong experience in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, and hybrid Exchange configurations. This position requires attention to detail, high levels of organizational skills, discretion and confidentiality, resourcefulness, efficiency and the ability to interact with internal and external business partners in a professional manner.
This is a remote position with occasional onsite meeting attendance required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a Computer Information Systems or Technology-related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Microsoft 365 administrator supporting multiple cloud-based applications and services
- Prefer 1 or more Microsoft Certifications related to Microsoft 365 solutions
- High level of expertise with some or all of the following: Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online and Hybrid, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Endpoint Manager, InTune
- Demonstrated experience leading projects using established project management methodologies
- Innovative and analytical thinking; exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; advanced troubleshooting skills; self-reliant and capable of independent work
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, configure, and implement Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager/InTune and others
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 user accounts and applications, licenses, and permissions
- Ensure the security, backup and recovery of the Microsoft 365 cloud applications and the organization’s information
- Monitor, manage and report on the health, usage and performance of the Microsoft 365 cloud applications and actively respond to system alerts and notification
- Collaborate with other teams and provide subject matter expertise to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and provide support for users experiencing Microsoft 365 problems
- Stay current and knowledgeable on new developments in the areas of responsibility to assure compliance and plan for enhancements and optimization
- Effectively manage vendor relationships
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security and privacy of all data and PHI in compliance with HIPAA
- Be available on occasion for off hours emergency support or maintenance for critical applications
