Staff Accountant
Optimum RV is seeking a Staff Accountant who is responsible for performing a range of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
· Record and classify financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
· Ensure transactions are accurately and consistently categorized and coded.
Reconciliation:
· Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to verify accuracy.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors in financial data.
Month-end and Year-end Closing:
· Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Documentation and Compliance:
· Maintain organized financial records and documentation for auditing and reference.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Financial Analysis:
· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue enhancement.
General Ledger Maintenance:
· Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
· Reconcile and close subsidiary ledgers.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
· Relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· Proficiency in accounting software, dealer management software a plus.
