The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations - Assists management in promoting and maintaining a positive employee relations environment within the facility. This includes, but is not limited to the following: assuring talent and behavioral interviews are conducted for open positions and promotions, efficient processing of new hires and terminations, conducting new employee orientation, assisting with the performance planning process, conducting exit interviews, providing counsel to managers/supervisors and employees on a variety of work-related issues and ensuring the Company policies have been followed.
Recruiter - Assists departmental managers with recruiting when necessary. Ensures that all pre-employment processes have been completed prior to the first day of work. Company Representative - Represents the Company at personnel related hearings and investigations that affect the Facility. Confers with insurance companies, adjustors and attorneys when needed on workers’ compensation claims and other employee relations issues.
Management Team Member - Meets regularly with the department heads on all HR issues. Attends and participates in management and employee departmental meetings in order to evaluate Human Resource issues of the Facility.
Benefit Administrator - Administers all functions of the benefit programs for the Facility which includes informing, enrolling and terminating employees in all of the Company offered benefits, maintaining the data base and files, reconciling bills and communicating with benefits carriers when needed on behalf of the employee.
Training Coordinator - Conducts, coordinates and attends various training sessions as needed for management to ensure the Facility is in compliance with local and federal laws. Participates in the professional development of the management team including cross training to gain a better knowledge of other jobs or business functions. Assists the Brew University Dean with the maintenance of the database of attendees. Conducts new hire orientation.
Safety and Worker’s Compensation Issues - Provides backup for the Safety Manager when they are not available. Responsible for assisting with worker’s compensation cases within the facility and maintaining the files/database. This includes ensuring that injured employees are being treated with the best medical care and are contacted weekly to verify status of their return to work.
HR Department Maintenance – Responsible for maintaining the facility’s employee files and database in a confidential manner and as required by the state and federal law.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
