Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in Manufacturing and distribution accounting preferred.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to identify areas of improvement or risk
- Manage the general ledger and ensure proper recording of transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support auditors during the annual audit process
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Expertise in processing chargebacks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required
- Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train junior staff members
- Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
$35-$45/hr DOE
